Meewella Holdings
From Early Beginnings...

Siri Meewella has always displayed a natural inclination toward leadership and entrepreneurship. This initially led him to pursue opportunities in the gemstone industry, where he established himself as a successful local dealer and built relationships in Japan, enabling the export of Sri Lanka's precious gems abroad.
In a few short years, Siri Meewella established himself as one of Sri Lanka's largest exporters of gems, commanding the industry from 1981 to 1986. His proficiency in the Japanese language opened the door for new business ventures, and he soon expanded into exporting vehicles from Japan and England to the rest of the world.
In 1992, Meewella Holdings entered the property development industry by purchasing a half-completed building in downtown Colombo and transforming it into the state-of-the-art Meewella headquarters that it is today. This marked the beginning of a new chapter in the company's history.

Over the years, Meewella Holdings has founded various businesses in agriculture, vehicle trading, energy projects, finance institutions, and more. The company has formed lasting partnerships with foreign companies and created numerous subsidiaries, building a strong foundation for future growth.
Today, Meewella Holdings is a second-generation corporate entity that encompasses technology companies, corporate governance, sustainability initiatives, and has a clear roadmap for going public in the future.
